EnderUNIX Vpwd2SQL is a tool, written in PERL that is used to
convert '/etc/shadow or /etc/master.passwd' accounts to
vpopmail accounts. It does the conversion this way ;

1. reads /etc/shadow or /etc/master.passwd to extract
user information.
2. creates the domain in the MySQL database.
3. creates the accounts in the database, correctly
updating the 'passwords in the database' with the
existing (shadow) password.
4. If exists, any /var/spool/mail/$user or /var/mail/$user mailboxes are converted to $HOME/Maildir/ mails.
5. changing sqwebmail password (sqwebmail-pass file in $user Maildir directory ) , so $user can login from sqwebmail without any problem

Install latest versions of DBI and Msql-Mysql-modules ( http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-category/07_Database_Interfaces)

Edit Vpwd2SQL.pl, change the necessary values to suit your system. and be sure that chown and chgrp in your $PATH
then, as super-user, run:

# perl vpwd2sql.pl

you're done!
